Creating your player

A new career starts in the creator. You build your player in five steps, and the player you make is the one who walks on and throws on the match stage.

1. Who you are#

Your name, a nickname for the walk-on, your age, your nationality and where you live. Your country decides your local darts scene: its leagues, its youth series, its national ranking and the qualifiers near home. Your look is suggested to suit your nation and age, and you shape it in the next step.

Your age sets where you start. An adult begins in the local league; a junior begins in youth darts, living at home with the family behind them. School comes first at that age, money comes from birthdays and pocket money, and growing up brings choices about work and going full-time.

2. Your look#

Build your player in 3D. Start from a quick-start face, or shape everything yourself:

  • Face: the shape of the head, eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, brows and ears, each with fine sliders.
  • Skin and age: skin tone and undertone, complexion, and how old you look.
  • Hair and facial hair: dozens of styles, natural and dyed colours, greying and highlights.
  • Body: build, height and the finer details.
  • Walk-on: your starter shirt, trousers, shoes, accessories and your first set of darts. You can design your own shirt later, in Equipment.

You can also use a photo of your own as your headshot.

3. Your game#

Your playing style at the oche, and two choices that shape the whole career.

Difficulty#

DifficultyYou start as
EasyA talented player with room for mistakes and a healthy amount saved.
NormalA promising pub player with some savings.
HardRaw ability and very little money. Every entry fee counts.

The kind of career#

CareerWhat it means
Classic CareerYou have the talent to reach the very top, if you put the work in. A late start aims lower.
Unknown Potential CareerNobody knows how far you can go: a tour pro at least, the very top for the lucky few. You find out as you play.

4. Your world#

How big your world is: which countries the game follows in detail, and how many of their players, events and matches it plays out each season. A bigger world is richer to follow; a smaller one moves faster, which helps on older computers and phones. Your own country is always played in full.

5. Ready#

A last look at everything before the first dart: your identity, look, game, portrait and walk-on song, each with an Edit button to go back.

Data packs for this career#

If you have data packs installed, the Ready step lists them with a switch each, so you choose which ones this career uses. The base game is always in. Different careers can use different packs. Data packs and mods.
