Game Guide
From the pub to the big stage
Darts Player Simulator is one player’s whole career in darts: from the town league on a weeknight to the televised majors, and from your first set of darts to your last walk-on. This guide shows you round the game: what each part is for, where to find things, and what to think about as you go.
It explains what you can do, not the sums behind it. How good a player becomes, what a sponsor will pay and how a dart flies are for you to find out on the oche.
The game in short#
- A career, week by week. Each week you choose what to enter, what to practise and what to say yes to. Press Continue and the week plays out.
- A ladder to climb. Everyone starts in the pubs and the county events. Win enough and you can chase a Tour Card, play the Pro Circuit and climb the Order of Merit towards the televised majors and the World Championship.
- Every dart on a 3D board. Throw them yourself, pick the bed and let your skills decide, or simulate to the result. Your form, your nerves and your kit all count.
- Life off the oche. Sponsors, a team of staff, the press, a home to pay for, travel to plan and a workload to manage.
- A world that moves without you. Hundreds of players rise, slump, switch darts, sign deals and retire. Rivalries build. Records fall.
Where it runs#
The game runs on Windows (on Steam) and on Android and iPhone. It is the same career on each, laid out for the screen in front of you. What is different on a phone.
New to darts?#
You do not need to know the sport. A leg starts at 501 and you count down to zero, finishing on a double or the bull. Matches are played over legs, or over sets of legs. The game shows the score, what you need and a suggested route to finish, so you can learn as you play. The basics of a leg.
Each section of your career explains itself the first time you open it. If you turned those guides off, Settings → Gameplay → Section guides brings them back.
