Make the game your own

A data pack is a folder of JSON files, with pictures if you like, that adds to the game or changes it. Players, tours, events, venues, sponsors, kit, stories, the press, commentary, the rules of the Tour Card, the economy, the colours of the screens, even the trophies on stage: all of it is data, and all of it can come from a pack.

The base game is itself a data pack, called core. Anything it does, your pack can do: add new records, replace one of the base game’s, or change a few fields of one and leave the rest alone.

What you can make#

  • People: named players with their attributes, nicknames, rivals and walk-ons; coaches, physios and agents; journalists and pundits; the fans and trolls of the social feed.
  • Competitions: tours and their Order of Merit, a whole season’s calendar, entry routes and qualifiers, leagues, team events, exhibitions and the season’s awards.
  • Places: venues and their backdrops, countries with their own darts scene, homes to rent and buy, banks, travel fares.
  • Money and kit: sponsors and what they ask for, darts and their parts, shirts and patterns, the shop and the signature workshop.
  • Stories and words: life events with choices, post-match interviews, match commentary, news lines, the game’s own sentences, and translations into other languages.
  • Rules and balance: the Tour Card ladder, training and development, injuries, workload and burnout, the living world, retirement and legacy, and hundreds of tuning values.
  • Looks: colour themes for every screen, the main menu’s backdrop, the game’s logo, panels on the career hub, and 3D models of stages, trophies and dart parts.

On Windows and on phones#

On Windows, packs live in the game’s mods folder: Mods → Open mods folder takes you there. Edit files in any text editor, or build packs with forms in the Mod Studio, then press Reload mods.

On Android and iPhone, the game calls them data packs. Install one from its zip file with Data packs → Import a data pack. Make packs on a computer and copy the zip to your phone. See Install, test and share.

Packs and your careers#

A career keeps a copy of the data it started with, so installing, changing or removing a pack changes new careers. Careers under way stay as they were. Flavour that does not touch the balance follows the packs you have installed into every career: stories, the press, interviews, the social feed, commentary, cards and artwork. More about careers.

These pages are built from the game itself: the field reference comes from the schemas the game checks packs with, and each example is a record from the base game’s own pack. When the game changes, the pages are rebuilt.
